🚪📢 Keeping Everman Safe & Respectful: New Door-to-Door Solicitation Rules 📢🚪
Your front door should feel like home—not a place for unwanted surprises. To help protect residents’ privacy and enhance public safety, the Everman City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 834, establishing new guidelines for door-to-door solicitation in our community.
Here’s what’s changing 👇
🔒 Safety First
All solicitors must now obtain a City-issued permit, which includes a background check for added peace of mind. Solicitors are required to prominently display this permit while soliciting!
🕘 Updated Solicitation Hours
Soliciting is only allowed:
9am to 7pm - Monday through Friday during Daylight Savings Time
9am to 6pm - Monday through Friday during Standard Time
10am to 5pm - Saturdays
❌ No solicitation is permitted on Sundays or City-observed holidays.
🚪 Respecting Resident Wishes
If a property has a “No Soliciting” sign, solicitors are required to honor it—no questions asked.
🙋♂️ What This Means for You
Residents can enjoy greater control over who knocks on their door. If you don’t want solicitors, simply post a “No Soliciting” sign in a visible spot.
📋 For Those Who Wish to Solicit
We welcome responsible engagement! Just be sure to register with the City and follow the guidelines designed to keep everyone safe and respected.
💡 Note: These rules do not apply to government officials, utility personnel, or religious and political canvassing—but even they must follow “No Soliciting” signage.
